How much does a DJ charge for a wedding reception?
This will depend on the quality and experience of the
DJ. You must decide the quality of the entertainment for you and your
guests.
Any quote I give will be competitive for what I offer
and provide as a professional DJ and will be based on travel
distance and how long I would be required to play for.
The old adage is certainly true "You
get what you pay for".
"Good entertainment is
not cheap....cheap entertainment is not good!"
Is there such a thing as "The best DJ
at the cheapest price?"
In my experience NO!
If you choose to opt for the cheapest DJ, good luck to you...cheap
DJs are cheap for only one reason, because they wouldn't get any work
otherwise (for Brides and Grooms-to-be, at what
point when you were envisaging your Wedding day as a young child did
you decide to book the cheapest entertainment!).
If we book you what do
we get?
When you book me, you are paying
for the difference between a "jukebox in
the corner DJ who doesn't speak at all and just plays random songs"
and a professional DJ and entertainer. Working
with you in the planning of your evening reception will guarantee
that I will always be able to create an appropriate
atmosphere and make your evening reception exciting, enjoyable and
more importantly memorable for you and your guests. Please
bear in mind that it is my overall DJing experience and qualities
you are paying for and not just the lighting effects and state-of-the-art
Bose sound system!
Can you meet up with us?
Yes, if requested I can meet up with couples where we
can have a relaxing chat/consultation over a coffee or tea and discuss
anything/everything from the First Dance to the Wedding reception
finale or any questions or fears you may have! I can and do provide
advice, guidance and where appropriate ideas and suggestions. It's
amazing how many things Bride and Grooms- to-be worry about!
It's a nice, personal touch when
I arrive at an evening reception and I know the Bride and Groom and
vice versa! Alternatively, I can conduct our
communication via telephone or email (not all my customers live in
N Ireland).
Can you provide music and entertainment for part of or even
my entire wedding?
Yes, I'm very flexible in what I provide as a service and I always
try to suit the requirements of the Bride and Groom/Couple to be.
The majority of my wedding bookings/functions last for the entire
evening reception. I have a vast catalogue of music dating from the
1940s to the present day to suit everyone of
all ages, so you can be guaranteed I'll be able to play something
for everyone and not have to repeat the same
songs over and over as other DJs frequently do! I continually monitor
the dancefloor and your guests throughout the night and ensure that
the dancefloor is busy and that you and your guests are happy! I always
announce that I welcome requests and more importantly, play them!
Are You a professional DJ?
Absolutely, I only use top end professional equipment (microphones, sound
and lighting etc) and I always conduct proceedings in a professional
manner. My main motivation for being a DJ is because I love doing
what I do. I put alot of thought and effort into what I do and my
ultimate aim is that your evening reception is a resounding success
for you and your guests!
Can you provide and involve us or indeed our guests in any
entertainment?
Yes of course. I can perform various inclusive party games/interactive
entertainment for children (if present) and grownups. These generally
don't last very long but always creates a great atmosphere (nothing
inappropriate/offensive for a wedding reception
and I do not believe in dragging
unwilling guests onto the dance floor!
Providing interactive entertainment/party games is great fun
for you and your guests at the time and when captured on DVD provides
great memories of your wedding reception. As wedding evening receptions
pass very quickly it's great when typically you return from your honeymoon
and watch your wedding DVD in the company of your family and friends.
Can you provide any entertainment for any children present?
Yes. Basically, children are guests too and have every right to be
entertained! As a parent myself, I know children like to be involved
"in the goings on" and besides entertaining children at
the start of or during the wedding reception/function is very relaxing
for the parents, as they can see where their children are and are
having a great time...Most DJs I have seen can't cater for and totally
ignore the kids.
